COVID-19 Procedures: All business with the Commission should be through electronic filing systems, email, or by telephone. For public health safety, in-person visits to SCC offices are suspended. Filings or other deliveries are permitted by drop off at main entrance. On-site staff is minimal and processing of such deliveries may be delayed.
As of January 15, 2020, the Clerk’s Office is not offering expedited service for paper submissions.
For some online submissions requiring Clerk’s Office review, expedited service is available. Documents submitted online when the Commission is closed will be deemed to have been received at the start of the next business day on which the Commission is open.
Please note that many documents can be filed in the Clerk’s Office in real time using CIS.
During the transition to the new Clerk’s Information System, and due to the high volume of documents pending review, the Clerk’s Office will use its best efforts to meet the schedule set forth below but may not be able to do so in every instance.
Next Day Expedited Service ($100 or $50, depending on document type):
Documents received in the Clerk’s Office by 2:00 p.m. of a business day will be reviewed and processed by 4:00 p.m. on the next business day.
Same Day Expedited Service ($200):
Documents received by 10:00 a.m. of a business day will be reviewed and processed by 4:00 p.m. that same day.
