What happens to my information if I decide not to complete
a transaction and close my browser?

What is the function of the payment processor?
The Commission has contracted with a third party, LexisNexis, to provide a secure
method for accepting online payments in CIS on behalf of the Clerk’s Office.
How will a payment transaction appear on a credit card
or bank account statement?
The payment will appear as a transaction described as "VA SCC Clerk’s Office"
reflecting payment of the fees collected on behalf of the Clerk’s Office.
What happens to the credit card or bank account information
provided in connection with an online payment in CIS?
Payments made online in CIS are processed by the Commission’s payment processor, LexisNexis. The Commission does not obtain or maintain customers’ credit card or other financial information.
