The Division of Energy Regulation assists the SCC's three commissioners in regulating Virginia's investor-owned electric, natural gas, water and sewer utilities, and member-owned electric cooperatives. Its chief function is supporting the Commission in its goal to ensure Virginia consumers receive high quality utility services at just and reasonable rates.
