UCC/Tax Lien Searches, Copies and Certificates
The Clerk’s Office fulfills requests for searches and certified and noncertified
copies of UCC and federal tax lien documents of record in the offce.
At present, we accept payments by check or money order for submissions by postal
mail. Billing services are available only to attorneys, law firms and filing service
companies located in Virginia. We accept credit and debit card payments for requests
for Search Responses submitted through
The UCC-11 Information Request, for Search Responses only, can be submitted online
through SCC eFile as a PDF upload.
To obtain a copy of a document by mail, please forward a completed
National Information Request Form (UCC11)
and a check or money order payable to “State Corporation Commission” for the appropriate
Clerk’s Office, State Corporation Commission
