Licensing FAQs
The Bureau of Insurance is now partnering with Sircon for States so that you can
meet your licensing and renewal needs quickly and easily on the web. Using the Sircon
for States web interface, you are able to electronically apply for resident and
non-resident licenses, print your license, request license renewals, and request
letters of certification.
By following the SIRCON links below, you will leave the Virginia State Corporation
Commission's Bureau of Insurance site and enter an independent Internet site. Neither
the SCC nor the Bureau of Insurance exercise any control over the information contained
in or the privacy or security policies of the site at www.sircon.com/virginia

Print your License Online
The Agents Licensing Section processes applications for licensure in date received
order. Please allow a minimum of 15 business days for processing before contacting
the Bureau concerning the status of an application. For applications submitted through
Sircon, the license printing service is free for up to 30 days after the application
has been approved. For applications submitted through NIPR, a Sircon service fee
will be applied to print the license. The Bureau of Insurance does not print or
mail licenses.

Administrative Actions
Use the Commission's
Docket
Search
feature to search documents regarding administrative actions for agents,
agencies and companies.
Select the option "Search Cases" at the top of the page. Search options are available
by Case Number or Case Name. Enter the appropriate case number or agent/agency/company
name and click "Search." After selecting the appropriate case number from the list,
a summary screen will appear. Select the "Documents" field to download/print the
selected PDF file.
NOTE: Documents filed prior to April 2002 will not be displayed. If you need certified
documents or documents filed prior to 2002, please contact the Document Control
Center of the Offic of the Clerk of the Commission at (804) 371-9838.
