Company Assessment Filing Information

All annual assessment forms/packets are due by March 1. Companies are required to file specific forms based upon the lines of authority for which they are licensed in Virginia. The specific forms are listed by NAIC number on this website. THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FORMS MUST BE DOWNLOADED FROM THIS SITE or use a computer software package that has been approved by the Bureau. All forms required by a specific company should be listed. However, if there is a discrepancy from previous filings, contact Joyce Jones (Joyce.Jones@scc.virginia.gov) for clarification prior to filing. IT IS THE COMPANY'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE ALL NECESSARY FORMS ARE FILED.

REMINDER: Effective January 1, 2013, the Bureau of Insurance maintenance assessment is no longer collected quarterly; it will be collected annually and is due March 1st.

TIMELY FILINGS:

Virginia uses the postmark to determine a timely filing. If a due date falls on Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, the next business day's postmark is accepted as timely filed.
